Fighting Fantasy Fest returns to Ealing for the fifth dedicated Fighting Fantasy convention, to mark 40 years of Sir Ian Livingstone's bestselling FF gamebook Deathtrap Dungeon!

 

Featuring Guests of Honour Sir Ian Livingstone and Iain McCaig, as well as a host of other gamebook authors and artists, Fighting Fantasy Fest 5 will include talks, gaming sessions, new book releases, signings, and a trading hall, as well as the ever popular Fighting Fantasy auction.

Entry is by pre-paid ticket only and price of entry includes a collectible programme and autograph book, as well as a themed lanyard permitting entry to the infamous Deathtrap Dungeon. Adult Tickets cost £45 each, and there are tickets available for Young Adults, Children, and Carers as well. (Please note that children must be under 14 years of age on Saturday 7th September 2024 and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult ticket-holder.

Please note that there will not be any ticket sales on the day.

Venue - Fighting Fantasy Fest 5 is being held at the University of West London, Ealing campus, focused around the Heartspace. The event will be taking over the lecture theatre, as well as the Heartspace itself, which will provide the perfect place for people to visit trade stands, play games, sit and chat, or grab something to eat. Food and drinks will be available onsite throughout the day, from both the University bar.

Travel - The University of West London is only a short walk from Ealing Broadway, which is served by the Central and District Lines of the London Underground, as well as the Heathrow Express (which runs from Paddington Station in London to Heathrow Airport to the west), and is also a British Rail mainline station. The University of West London campus is also served by a number of bus routes, including the No. 65, which stops outside Ealing Broadway Station.

 

Ealing is also easily accessible from Junction 2 of the M4 motorway, and from the M40. It is also on the North Circular A406, which links to the M1 and is easily accessible from the M3. Although there is no parking at the Univeristy of West London, there is some on-street parking nearby and a number of public car parks only a short walk from the venue, including the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre car park.

Where to stay - There are numerous hotels and pubs offering accommodation in and around Ealing, including both a Travelodge and Permier Inn within walking distance of the University of West London campus.
